Yonge Street Mission (YSM)
Since 1896, YSM has provided wraparound support and services to help individuals, families, and communities rise out of poverty in Toronto.
Toronto is the child poverty capital of Canada. YSM’s goal is to end chronic poverty in one generation; this positively impacts all Torontonians, from the youngest to the oldest. This intergenerational, compassionate approach creates a resource that Toronto’s impoverished can turn to.
In partnership with Luminate Communications.

500,000 Toronto residents struggle with poverty, of them, 37% are female single parents and 46% are recent immigrants.
Nearly 1 million workers hold two or more jobs and over 2 million people are stuck in temporary employment.
